 Dr.
Tamsen Thorpe is a Psychologist with a private practice in Morristown,
NJ focusing on adults and couples. She was educated locally at Drew
University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree
in Psychology.
Dr. Thorpe earned her master's degree
in Organizational Psychology at Stevens Institute of Technology in
1986. This was followed by a research career in New York City Corporations.
She then earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at The California
School of Professional Psychology in 1997.
Health Psychology was her chosen emphasis
of study. Internships were in a medical hospital with oncology patients
and an Employee Assistance Program. Postdoctoral training at UCLA
included a year long rotation in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic. Employment
at UCLA was in the area of family/genetic research. Dr. Thorpe has
further specialized training in the areas of couple’s counseling,
infertility, sexuality, work place issues and imagery for stress reduction.
Dr. Thorpe has conducted seminars locally at Honeywell, Pfizer, Cendant and Novartis on such topics as Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence and Relationships.
